Worker Steals From Nassau Law Firm For 2 Years, Police Say

Police say she repeatedly stole company money and spent it on herself.

SYOSSET, NY — An Oceanside woman has been arrested after police said she stole money over the course of nearly two years from the Syosset law firm where she worked.

From March 2017 to February 2019, Cami Turchin, 49, repeatedly stole company money from the Underhill Boulevard law firm and spent it on herself, Nassau County police said. The firm called police and Turchin turned herself over to police in Bethpage. She was arrested around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Turchin was scheduled to appear in Mineola court Tuesday on charges of 2nd-degree grand larceny and nine counts of 1st-degree falsifying business records.
