Young Syosset Musician Performs at Morgan Park Summer Music Festival

The winners of the Marguerite Suozzi Young Performers Talent Competition were recently invited to perform at a special concert featuring musically gifted local youth at the Morgan Park Summer Music Festival.

Young performers from the North Shore of Nassau County competed in an annual talent competition sponsored by Morgan Park Summer Music Festival in the Spring. About 35 vocalists and instrumentalists between the ages of 9 and 19 participated in the competition.

The winners were:

• First place: Tim Cheung, of Syosset who attends Syosset High School
• Second place: Patrick Elizalde, of Glen Cove who attends Regis High School
• Junior winner: Christine Ramirez, of Glen Head who attends North Shore Middle School
