3 Ward Melville HS Students Selected for Film Festival

Jordan Pollak, Rose Kelso and Henry DaCosta's films were selected for the 2014 Varsity Brands All-American High School Film Festival.

Films by three Ward Melville High School students have been selected for the 2014 Varsity Brands All-American High School Film Festival.

Jordan Pollak’s “Jody’s Space,” Rose Kelso’s “Please Come Again,” and Henry DaCosta’s “Hysteria” will be screened from Oct. 24 through 27 at the AMC Empire Theaters in Times Square.

“This is an amazing honor,” said Jennifer Trettner, Ward Melville’s chairperson for art and technology. “The Ward Melville art department is incredibly proud of these young film students and their accomplishments. These films are a true reflection of Jordan’s, Rose’s and Henry’s talent, dedication and motivation to their art.”

The students beat out thousands of other submissions received from 45 states.
