Emma Clark Library Unveils New Kid's Logo and Website

Besides the coming of spring, Three Village kids and parents have something else to celebrate!

Emma Clark Library now has a new website and logo for the Children’s Department (http://kids.emmaclark.org). Both the logo and website were created by in-house staff and are consistent with the main webpage, which was unveiled last year.

The top banner of the kid’s website includes log-in and search-the-catalog functions. The main menu items are clear and simple for both kids and parents to navigate (“Home”, “E-Resources”, “Reading”, “Fun and Games”, “Programs”, and “Parents”), and they drop down to more specific headings. The homepage highlights the latest happenings in the Children’s Department and includes Picks of the Week (book recommendations chosen by Emma Clark Library Children’s Librarians), a Photo of the Week, and a Video. The bottom banner has the Children’s Department contact information and hours.

Some notable features include information about library programs and events specific to children, lists of books on your child’s reading level, kid’s games and recommended apps, free downloads, as well as a parent’s page. All content will be kept fresh and up-to-date and connects patrons easily to resources that are perfect for kids.

“We are so excited about the new kids’ page! With the ability to customize and update it frequently, we can easily incorporate the current needs and interests of our community’s children,” says Children’s Librarian Susan Perez, who was instrumental in spearheading this new site. “We hope everyone finds it helpful, informative, and fun.”
