ICYMI: Ward Melville Student Named A Regeneron Scholar
Check out this story from earlier in the week on Three Village Patch.

SETAUKET, NY — Animesh Ghose, an InSTAR student research senior at Ward Melville High School, was named a scholar in the 2021 Regeneron Science Talent Search, arguably the United States's oldest and most prestigious science and math competition for high school seniors, the Three Village Central School District announced.
Animesh titled his project "Prognosis and Diagnosis of Alzheimer's Disease Using Graph Convolutional Neural Networks." For it, he analyzed the performance of relatively new kinds of neural network algorithms called Graph Convolutional Neural Networks (GCNN). The GCNN models he made learned to detect the various stages of Alzheimer's disease based on brain data.
