Jazz Loft Hosts a Fund Raiser for Music Outreach Program In Haiti
Creole Love Song featuring the Jazz Loft Ambassadors will Perform

On Wednesday evening 11/7 at 7 pm The Jazz Loft will host a fundraiser for its music outreach program to Haiti. In place of the regular weekly concert by The Jazz Loft Trio and jazz jam session, The Jazz Loft Ambassadors will be performing Creole Love Song. Tom Manuel, Jazz Loft founder and trumpeter and Laura Landor, flutist , are part of the five member ensemble.
The concert supports the work begun a few years ago to bring a music program to a school in Bizoton, Haiti. Donations of used instruments, canned food and school supplies have collected at The Jazz Loft and sent on to Haiti. The fundraiser will offset the cost of the trip and pay for additional instruments and supplies. The Jazz Loft Ambassadors will be returning to check on the progress of their students. Further lessons and a concert by the students are planned. Both students and teachers will experience the joy of making music together.
The Jazz Loft is located at 275 Christian Ave. Stony Brook next to the Three Village Inn. Tickets are $25 adults, $20 seniors, $15 students. Tickets are available at www.thejazzloft.org and at the door.
