Man Shoots Housemate With Crossbow In Stony Brook: Police
The housemate was seriously in the attack, according to police.
STONY BROOK, NY — A man was arrested after he shot his housemate with a crossbow in Stony Brook on Tuesday evening, Suffolk police said.
James Nicosia, 41, was talking with his landlord at his residence in the 200 block of Hallock Road when Xiaonan Sun, 36, who is the landlord’s son and one of Nicosia’s housemates, shot him with a crossbow at 6:55 p.m., police said. Nicosia is being treated for serious injuries at Stony Brook University Hospital, though he is in stable condition, police said.
Sun was charged with second-degree assault. He was held overnight at the Sixth Precinct and was scheduled for an arraignment Wednesday at First District Court in Central Islip.
