Nassakeag Writer Wins National Contest

Thania Canales has been selected as a winner of Scholastic's Storyworks Writing Contest. Congrats!

From Three Village Central School District: Nassakeag Elementary School sixth-grader Thania Canales has been selected as a winner of Scholastic's Storyworks Writing Contest.

Entrants were asked to write a letter from a character's point of view. Thania read the story "Dad's New Job" by Tommy Greenwald and then she wrote a letter from the character Henry's perspective. The letter explained the lesson Henry learned from his Dad.

Thania was one of 10 winners selected in the contest and received a copy of Dog Day Afternoon by Tommy Greenwald.
