Police Seek Man Who Stole $1,700 Bottle of Wine From Setauket Liquor Store

A man who stole a bottle of wine valued at $1,700 from a liquor store is wanted for grand larceny, police seek public's help.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who stole a bottle of alcohol from a Setauket store in early September.

A man entered Hamlet Wines and Liquors, located at 730 Route 25A, and stole a bottle of Chateau Petrus wine, valued at approximately $1,700 on September 12 at 5:35 p.m.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
