Road Work Slated For Route 25A In Town Of Brookhaven
One lane of alternating traffic or closures on weekdays is expected for roughly a month, the NYS Department of Transportation says.
SETAUKET, NY — Drivers should expect road work starting Monday in both directions of State Route 25A in the Town of Brookhaven, the New York State Department of Transportation announced in a news release.
Crews will make drainage repairs, upgrading sidewalk ramps and resurfacing the road between Main Street and Nicolls Road. The enhancements in this 1.7 mile stretch of road are expected to be completed next month.
Drivers may encounter one lane of alternating traffic with flaggers or lane closures weekdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., the NYSDOT said. Electronic variable message signs near the work zone will post updated information.
