STONY BROOK, NY — Stony Brook University and NASA teamed up to roll out a new mobile weather truck that features a research trailer with radar, News 12 Long Island reported. The truck was used for Saturday's Long Island snowfall.

Researchers hope the technology will help to improve future forecasting, according to News 12.
