EAST SETAUKET, NY — Sei Ramen has been getting acquainted to the East Setauket community over the past couple of weeks since its Feb. 12 grand opening, the Town of Brookhaven announced via news release Thursday. The authentic Japanese restaurant is at 244 NY-25A, Setauket- East Setauket.

Councilwoman Valerie Cartright joined in the grand opening and ribbon cutting festivities. The restaurant focuses on small plates and ramen, which allows customers to sample a wide selection of menu items.

Co-owner Kevin Ma lived in Japan and originally opened his first restaurant in Georgia. He later moved to the Stony Brook community. It took two years to get the restaurant up and running as they renovated the space, which is decorated in a modern Japanese style.
