Startup Launched On LI Named Finalist In 43North Competition
The startup is one of 16 from across the world that could get a cut of a $5M prize pool at the 6th Annual 43North Competition.
BUFFALO, NY — Charmtech Labs and its product, Capti Voice, was named one of sixteen finalists of the 6th Annual 43North worldwide competition, Governor Andrew M. Cuomo announced Tuesday.
Charmtech Labs LLC was founded at Stony Brook University by Yevgen Borodin, though the company recently moved to Buffalo since applying to 43North.
"Capti's mission is to empower people to process information more effectively, overcome learning disabilities and language barriers, and make reading more interactive and accessible," according to the company.

Capti Voice is a literacy support tool that will help teachers personalize learning for students of all abilities and help them become more independent.
Eight companies will receive investments from a $5 million prize pool, with a $1 million grand prize.
