Stony Brook School Junior To Offer Congress Wooden U.S.A. Flags
The student plans to write every member of the U.S. Congress and offer them one of his handcrafted flags as a symbol of American unity.

STONY BROOK, NY — Bobby Reuter, a junior at The Stony Brook School, has made a hobby of hand-crafting wooden American flags in his free time, according to the school
Bobby recently committed to an ambitious plan of his own accord: to write every member of the United States Congress and offer them one of his creations as a symbol of American unity.
"I truly believe that the American flag is a powerful symbol," Bobby said via news release. "It represents unity, justice, equality, and all the American ideals that this country was founded on. Although this past year has been very politically dividing, my hope is that, regardless of which party they’re a part of, members of Congress will accept this gift, reminding them of the unity of our country."

Bobby will start by writing to the local members of Congress before expanding to a national scale. He believes that the freedom Americans were born into can often be taken for granted, and he hopes his gesture will remind Congress of America's precious gift of freedom, according to the Stony Brook School.
