Long Island Weather: Sunny Start To Work Week But Then Storms Return

We've got three splendid days to start the work week, but then things get a bit dicey. We've got the latest Long Island forecast.

The Long Island work week will start off sunny, but will turn stormy as the weekend nears, the National Weather Service says.

Low humidity and temperatures within a few degrees of normal will create ideal conditions for most outdoor plans through the first half of the week, according to AccuWeather.

But it won't last. There will be prolonged period of chances for precipitation from Thursday into Saturday, the NWS says.

“While it does not appear every day late this week will be a washout, any thunderstorm could produce heavy rainfall in a short period of time and cause travel delays,” AccuWeather Meteorologist Brett Rathbun said.
