Ward Melville Junior Wins Honorable Mention In Art Contest

SETAUKET, NY — Jean Chung, a junior at Ward Melville High School, won the Honorable Mention Award in the art category of the 2020 Ocean Awareness Contest, according to the Three Village Central School District.

The global arts competition, sponsored by Bow Seat Ocean Awareness Programs, aims to engage the youth in creatively raising awareness of environmental issues impacting the earth.

Jean, who was selected from approximately 5,300 participants from around the world, received a cash award and will be featured in Bow Seat’s international ocean advocacy Gallery and social media channels.
