The Blood Bank at Stony Brook University Hospital is Back!

Well, we never really went away.

The Blood Bank at Stony Brook University Hospital would like to thank the Stony Brook Community for supporting us during the coronavirus pandemic. Not only were we able to maintain a stable blood supply but we provided the necessary resources to conduct a study of convalescent plasma as well. We don’t have to look any further than our own community for proof that there is good in the world.

We are pleased to announce that our donors may now go online again to schedule their own appointments to donate blood or platelets (see below).

Blood product inventories across the country decrease during the summer, creating an increased need for whole blood and platelets. Please spare some time to save a life, schedule an appointment to donate blood or platelets.
