Wet Weather on the Way

Some major changes in the Long Island forecast.

After two days of temperatures below the freezing mark, things will warm up this weekend. That means the wet weather coming our way will be in the form of rain instead of snow.

On Saturday, dry conditions are expected in the morning, but rain moves in during the afternoon and evening from west to east.

The storm system passes Saturday night and rain may be heavy at times before tapering off late. Any lingering rain Sunday morning ends, and dry weather is expected to return under partly sunny skies for the remainder of the day. Temperatures will rise to near or slightly above normal.
