Waverly here, your Patch NYC Kids' Mayor! Do you love all things LEGO® as much as I do? I thought so! I mean, who doesn't, right? Well, I'm getting so excited for the opening of LEGOLAND® New York Resort and thought to myself, hey, there's a LEGOLAND Discovery Center right by us in Westchester, and right now they're celebrating LEGO MOVIE DAYS, so I knew I just HAD to check it out! As soon as we walked in, we got excited with all the colors and music, and we could tell that "Everything is Awesome" at LEGOLAND Discovery Center! We started out with a Factory Tour where we learned all about how LEGO bricks are made. I even created a LEGO Strawberry! I was surprised to learn that there are 2 rides there, since it is all indoors. We were excited as our car went off into the darkness on Kingdom Quest, and later we had a competition to see who could pedal faster and fly higher on Merlin's Apprentice!

I absolutely LOVED Miniland where all of NYC was right there in front of us - The GW Bridge, Radio City Music Hall, The Empire State Building....and even King Kong himself!

There were tons of LEGO bricks around and we even made race cars! They even had a cool track and big slide to race them against each other! All of it was so fun! Another one of my favorites was The LEGO Ninjago City Adventure. It really WAS an adventure! We also had fun doing some Ninja challenges...I loved every minute of my visit to LEGOLAND Discovery Center! They even give you these cool activity necklaces, and you get them stamped after you visit each part, and at the end you get a cool prize! This made everything even more fun and exciting! I haven't even mentioned the 4D movie - complete with wind and rain, how awesome is that?? And the VR, where we flew over lava and construction sites....and there is way more! So many fun things for lots of different ages to enjoy. Even the adults were building things and racing their cars. I also saw little kids having fun in Duplo Village, and also having fun with LEGO Friends!
