6,500 Square-Foot Eatery And Entertainment Complex Opens On UWS
Pekarna New York, a new Slovenian-American restaurant, opened its doors for the first time Tuesday on the Upper West Side.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A new 6,500 square-foot Slovenian-American restaurant and entertainment complex opened Tuesday on the Upper West Side.
Pekarna New York, at 594 Amsterdam Avenue (West 89th Street), features two floors and four private banquet rooms that will open in 2021.
The restaurant can seat 320 people at full capacity, but it won't reach that number until coronavirus restrictions are dropped.

Pekarna also has an extended bar that can seat 30 people.
The four private rooms are all soundproof and entirely white to offer a "blank canvas," which can be designed to fit any aesthetic. You can pick between the Elixir Room, Garden Room, Dragon Room, and Perilo Room.

The restaurant is open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. throughout the week and offer brunch from 10 a.m. to noon on weekends.
The menu includes dishes such as Truffle Matzo Ball Soup, Mushreuben Burger with Portobello mushrooms, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut on toasted rye, and a Slovenian Apple Pie.
Additionally, Perkarna offers takeout and delivery that will be available on Grubhub and Seamless.
