Sara Lind, a City Council 6 candidate, shared her own experience on the post of getting woken up by a garbage fire.
"There was a garbage fire outside my window once — it was terrifying," Lind wrote in response to Goodwin's tweet. "I woke up to heat and the smell of smoke and bright orange light and thought my apartment was on fire. We definitely need better trash collection policy!"
