UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Effy's Cafe on the Upper West Side reopened on Saturday seven months after it said it was "permanently closing" the location.

The popular Israeli breakfast spot announced it was permanently closing its UWS cafe in May after seven years of service in the neighborhood, saying it hoped that it could still serve customers at its Upper East Side location.

However, Efi Jacoby, the cafe's owner, sent a message to the website, ILoveTheUpperWestSide, on Friday with the news that it was reopening its doors on Saturday.
