Grand Bazaar Brings Holiday Market To Upper West Side

More than 150 vendors will sell their goods at the city's largest indoor/outdoor holiday market each Sunday in December.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Grand Bazaar, a long-time fixture on the Upper West Side, will run New York City's largest indoor/outdoor holiday market during the month of December.

More than 150 vendors will set up shop each Sunday in December within the school building and adjacent playground on West 77th Street between Columbus and Amsterdam avenues, Grand Bazaar NYC announced.

Vendors will be selling goods such as handmade holiday decorations, clothing, vintage accessories and collectibles, handmade jewelry and furniture. Food and beverage vendors will also be on-site serving up items such as lobster rolls and baked goods.

All of Grand Bazaar's vendors are independent artisans and dealers, which means the market is a great place to shop for gifts one couldn't find in a big-box store or online, the market's organizers said.

Shopping at Grand Bazaar helps support the Upper West Side's public schools. The market donates 100 percent of fees collected from vendors to PS 87, The Computer School, PS 334 and M.S. M247 Dual Language Middle School — which benefits more than 4,000 students.

The Grand Bazaar holiday market will be open on Sunday Dec. 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m., market organizers said.
