UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — It was a winter wonderland Monday across New York City and on the Upper West Side.

Snow flurried down from the sky as streets, sidewalks, parks, and cars were blanketed with almost a foot of snow and a peaceful stillness.

The neighborhood makes a good backdrop for a wintery photo shoot, and here are some of the best photos from around the Upper West Side.
