LINDA Organization (Living in New Directions Accessories) and New York Institute of Technology students host donation drive for disadvantaged women Monday November 4th 1-3pm at NYIT Manhattan campus.
The LINDA (Living in New Directions Accessories) Organization and the NYIT Brandstanders student-run Branding Agency will host a donation drive at New York Institute of Technology’s Manhattan campus on Monday November 4th from 1-3pm. NYIT students and LINDA Organization volunteers will collect new and gently used cosmetics, toiletries, personal hygiene items, and women’s clothing to distribute to post-incarcerated women, victims of domestic violence and homeless women in the tri-state area.
LINDA Organization founder Dr Beth Adubato explains “ We collect things that make these women feel better about themselves, because they will have to go out on job interviews and sell themselves….so they need to look their best."
The donation drive will take place in the lobby of New York Institute of Technology at 1855 Broadway New York NY 10023, Monday November 4th from 1-3pm. Donations collected from the LINDA Organization drive will be distributed to women’s shelters in the New York and New Jersey area.
About the LINDA Organization
The LINDA organization (Living In New Directions Accessories) is a not-for-profit organization that helps facilitate the change of direction in the journey of women who are victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, have been incarcerated, and who suffer from homelessness and mental illness. We distribute new and gently used cosmetics, toiletries, and other necessary items that may be financially out of reach for women whose lives have been temporarily disrupted by some aspect of criminal justice.
