Man In Critical Condition After Getting Shot On The UWS: NYPD

The attack took place Sunday night near the corner of Columbus Avenue and West 104th Street, according to police.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A 20-year-old man is in critical condition after getting shot in the head on the Upper West Side, according to police.

The victim was found Sunday night at around 11:41 p.m. with a gunshot wound to his head in front of 900 Columbus Avenue near West 104th Street, a NYPD spokesperson told Patch.

Police had been responding to a 911 call of gunshots in the area when they found the 20-year-old, according to the NYPD.

The man was rushed to Mount Sinai Saint Luke's Hospital in critical condition, the spokesperson said.

There are currently no arrests, and the investigation remains ongoing.
