Natural History Museum Announces Spooky Classes, Costume Contest
The American Museum of Natural History is offering a slate of online programming and a costume contest in honor of Halloween.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The American Museum of Natural History is looking to do its part in getting New Yorkers in the Halloween mood.
In the days leading up to the Oct. 31 holiday, the Upper West Side museum is offering a wide range of spooky, family-friendly online programming, including classes about bat ecology, spiders, and fossilizing mammal skeletons.
The famed museum also wants to see your costumes.

The American Museum of Natural History is holding an online contest asking people to share pictures of their costumes on Instagram and Twitter for a chance to win four tickets to the museum.
To participate in the costume contest, you have to post pictures with the tag @amnh on Instagram or Twitter.

Additionally, the museum is looking to commemorate Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead) by offering an online program led by an archaeologist and conservation biologist speaking about the holiday's history.
The museum is currently open again from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday, with various new safety guidelines. You must reserve timed-entry tickets before visiting the American Museum of Natural History.
