Riverside Park Closes Off Another Bike Path Section
A construction project will reroute bikers onto the Hudson River waterfront from West 72nd to 76th Streets.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The Riverside Park Conservancy recently announced that bikers have to deal with another path closure within the Upper West Side park.
The closure comes with a new detour that reroutes bikers to ride directly next to the Hudson River at 72nd Street instead of the usual path into a different section of the park.
The Riverside Park Conservancy released a graphic to show how bikers need to travel onto the waterfront between West 72nd and 76th Street to make room for a New York City Park reconstruction project.

The construction is expected to last around a month.
The news of the latest detour in Riverside Park comes two weeks after the Upper West Side park announced that it was temporarily shutting down a section of the incredibly busy Cherry Walk bike bath.
