Train Strikes Straphanger On UWS, Sparking Delays: MTA
The 1, 2 and 3 trains were delayed after a train struck a person on the Upper West Side, the MTA said.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A train struck a person on the Upper West Side, causing delays on the 1, 2 and 3 trains Thursday afternoon, the MTA said.
An MTA notice alerted commuters about service changes along the three lines after a person was hit by a train at the West 86th Street station, according to the MTA's website.
An NYPD spokesperson confirmed a person had been taken from the train tracks to Mount Sinai St. Luke's hospital about 3:40 p.m., but the straphanger's condition was not immediately known, the spokesperson said.

Northbound 1 trains were running express from 72nd to 96th streets. Northbound 2 trains were stopping along the 5 line from Nevins Street to 149th St.-Grand Concourse, according to the MTA.
Significant delays were expected along the 1, 2 and 3.
