A new Magnolia Bakery is opening sometime in the coming months close to Columbus Circle on the Upper West Side.
UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — There's about to be a new spot to get your sugar hit on the Upper West Side.
Magnolia Bakery is set to open in Columbus Circle, between West 58 and 59th Streets, sometime in the fall, a spokesperson from the company confirmed to Patch. Magnolia Bakery doesn't have an exact date for the new bakery's opening.
According to the West Side Rag, the new Magnolia Bakery will specifically open in the former home of Grom at 1796 Broadway.

Magnolia offers everything from banana pudding to cakes to cupcakes to pies to mini cheesecakes to brownies, and much more. You can check out the full menu on its website.
There is already a Magnolia Bakery on the Upper West Side at 200 Columbus Avenue, near West 69th Street and Columbus Avenue.

The bakery opening is a welcomed sight in a neighborhood that has seen several businesses close due to losses from the coronavirus pandemic.
Magnolia Bakery opened its first location in the West Village in 1996. The bakery expanded from that original sugar outpost to locations worldwide, including in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
