Tiny Glass Houses: The Next Evolution Of UWS Outdoor Dining
An Upper West Side restaurant recently installed mini glass houses for diners to enjoy outdoor dining within.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The Upper West Side is getting creative with its outdoor dining.
Two weeks ago, Cafe du Soleil — at Broadway and West 104th Street — started giving customers the option of eating their meals within a plastic bubble. The option is now available at multiple restaurants across New York City.

People don't have to walk far to find the next creative attempt at the outdoor dining experience.

Smoke Jazz Club, at 2751 Broadway (near Broadway and West 106th Street), has broken out a customer option of dining within glass mini houses. The glass houses are big enough to seat two people and let diners listen to the live music performed within the venue.
Smoke reopened during the first week of October, and the eatery is giving Upper West Siders the rare treat of live music.

The restaurant and bar has live music on the weekends, allowing customers to listen to the tunes from their outdoor seats.
Although the tiny glass houses weren't originally given as an option upon Smoke's reopening, the idea has become a fun addition to a neighborhood already at the forefront of creative outdoor dining ideas.
Smoke Jazz Lounge's menu and upcoming musical performances are available on its website.
