Tropical Storm Isaias Leaves Its Mark On Upper West Side: Photos
Fallen trees are scattered across the Upper West Side, including a large branch that fell on a truck near 110th Street and Amsterdam.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Tropical Storm Isaias made itself felt Tuesday the Upper West Side. While Manhattan was less impacted than the other four boroughs, strong winds and torrential rain left trees fallen throughout the neighborhood.
The storm roared into the city just after noon, delivering 70 mph winds in some parts of New York City — the strongest since Superstorm Sandy in 2012.
Con Edison reported that thousands of customers were without power Tuesday afternoon, but the number never rose above 20 in Manhattan.
