UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — An Upper West Side elite private school is making headlines after it had juniors in its high school sit through a workshop called "Pornography Literacy: An intersectional focus on mainstream porn," without giving the students a chance to opt-out of the lesson or informing the families.

The story was posted by the New York Post on Saturday, picked up by the Daily Mail on Sunday, and has been making the rounds on the internet since.

The workshop was held on May 5 for around 120 Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School high school juniors at the $47,000-a-year Upper West Side institution — at 5 West 93rd Street.

The workshop included slides on how porn takes care of "three big male vulnerabilities," a list of the most searched pornographic terms of 2019, including "gangbang" and "stepmom," and a section that explained the different genres of porn, which mentioned "incest theme" and "barely legal," according to the NY Post.

"We're incredibly frustrated by what's going on," a parent told the Post. "None of the parents knew this was planned. We were completely left in the dark."
