Upper West Side Weekend Subway Service Changes: June 12-13

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — As vaccinations hit millions of arms and the city slowly reopens, New Yorkers are getting back on the subway. In another sign of the return of normality, they're also dealing with a multitude of weekend service changes.

Riders returned to the rails in record numbers this month – on June 9, 2.38 million paid trips were made. That's more than on any day in the past year.

But getting around this weekend is still going to be tough with many lines disrupted in the name of "upgrading and maintaining our tracks, stations and signal systems in order to continue to provide our customers with safe and reliable service."

C No trains between Chambers St/World Trade Center and Euclid Av

C trains run in Manhattan between 168 St and Canal St and via the E to/from World Trade Center, the last stop.

A trains run in two sections: 1. Between 207 St and Jay St-MetroTech2. Between Utica Av and Lefferts Blvd/Mott Av, making local stops.

B Local and limited free shuttle buses make stops between Jay St-MetroTech and Utica Av.

Travel Alternatives: For service to Fulton St, use the nearby World Trade Center E station. For service to Brooklyn, take the A instead via transfer at W 4 St ad.For service from Fulton St and Brooklyn, take the A to Canal St and transfer to the C. For stations between Jay St-MetroTech and Utica Av, take a SB bus. Transfer between A trains and SB buses at Jay St-MetroTech and/or Utica Av.
