Upper West Side Woman To Perform Anthem At Biden's Inauguration
You might have heard of her.
UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — An Upper West Side native will sing the national anthem for Wednesday's inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.
Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, otherwise known as Lady Gaga, will perform "The Star-Spangled Banner" in front of the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday, the Presidential Inaugural Committee announced Thursday.
Gaga grew up on the Upper West Side, attended schools on the Upper East Side and went to college at New York University.

Joseph Germanotta, Gaga's father, has owned and operated a restaurant on the Upper West Side called Joanne Trattoria for almost a decade.
Bronx native Jennifer Lopez will join Gaga as the two headlining inauguration performances.
