Upper West Side's Biggest Shopping Center Reopens With New Rules

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The Shops at Columbus Circle reopened on Wednesday after Gov. Andrew Cuomo gave the go-ahead to do so earlier in September.

The Upper West Side shopping center will have to follow a strict set of rules in its reopening, including only allowing half capacity within the building and employing enhanced air filtration systems.

The Shops at Columbus Circle, which is located at 10 Columbus Circle, has also implemented several new safety measures for anyone that wants to splash some cash inside the expansive Upper West Side shopping center.

• All employees and visitors over the age of two must wear face coverings at all times. The shopping center will provide face coverings for anyone that doesn't have them.
• Social distancing must be maintained as floor markings and signage have been installed throughout the building to help keep distance.
• One-way travel was implemented at every entrance throughout the building.
• All elevators are operating at reduced capacity.
• You must maintain three steps of distance from one another on escalators.
• The indoor dining area, common area seating, and water fountains are remaining temporarily closed.
• Hand sanitizer stations have been installed throughout the building.

The Shops at Columbus Circle has also modified its hours to 11 a.m - 7 p.m. all week.
