UWS Church To Offer Free COVID-19 Tests Starting This Week
The Cathedral of St. John the Divine will begin offering free COVID-19 tests starting on Tuesday.
UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — While more New Yorkers are set to get the COVID-19 vaccine starting this week, it remains essential that residents continue getting tested to stay on top of the virus.
One church on the Upper West Side is stepping up to make sure neighborhood residents can get those tests.
The Cathedral of St. John the Divine, in partnership with NYC Health + Hospitals, is beginning on Tuesday to offer free and confidential COVID-19 tests.

The church, located at 1047 Amsterdam Avenue, near 110th Street, will offer the tests from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Other than Tuesday, the Cathedral of St. John the Divine will also offer tests during the same time period on Thursday, Monday, Feb. 23, Feb. 24, and Feb. 25.

All testing is free, with no appointment and no insurance needed, regardless of immigration status. A trained staff will administer the self-swab RT-PCR tests, and results will be emailed to participants in under 72 hours.
