UWS Pizza Joint Named As One Of The 12 Best Slices In The City
An Upper West Side pizza place recently got recognized by the website Eater NY for serving up one of the 12 best slices in New York City.
UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Incredible pizza is truly an institution in New York City, and one Upper West Side joint just got named one of the best in the five boroughs.
Sal & Carmine Pizza on 2671 Broadway, near the corner of West 102nd Street, recently got named one of the "Top 12 Neighborhood Pizza Slices" by Eater New York's Robert Sietsema.
Eater is a popular food website that provides a wide array of news and reviews for New York City restaurants.

"The crust is utilitarian, devoid of flashiness but totally getting the job done, while the sauce is subtly flavorful without announcing itself, and the ample good cheese threatens to mix with the sauce so it becomes virtually one idealized entity," Sietsema wrote in his rankings.
Sal & Carmines first opened on the Upper West Side in 1959, and is best known for its cheese, ricotta, and Margherita slices.
