It is the second time in the past two weeks that an Inwood school has reported a positive coronavirus case among its staffers. Earlier in the month, the Paula Hedbavny School at 421 West 219th Street reported an infected staffer.
However, the staffer tested positive before any students had returned to the school.
City officials also announced on Tuesday that a staffer at P.S.I.S 187 Hudson Cliffs School had a confirmed case of coronavirus. The school is located in Washington Heights at 349 Cabrini Boulevard.
However, the staffer never reported to the building.
All but one of the schools announced Tuesday — P.S. K811 Connie Lekas School in Sheepshead Bay — had a single case. Connie Lekas had two cases, prompting a temporary closure and investigation into contacts.
