60 Firefighters Sent To Mid-Morning Blaze In The Heights: NYPD
A fire broke out Wednesday morning in a six-story building in Washington Heights, according to the FDNY.
WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A fire broke out Wednesday morning in Washington Heights within a six-story building at 540 West 157th Street, according to the FDNY.
The flames began at around 9:40 a.m., resulting in 60 firefighters getting called to the scene, an FDNY spokesperson told Patch.
The fire was quickly under control by 9:53 a.m., according to the FDNY. There were no reported injuries.
