Coronavirus-Related Hotlines Available For Northern Manhattan

The Northern Manhattan Improvement Corporation set up temporary hotlines for benefits, housing, immigration or unemployment questions.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A local nonprofit has set up hotlines for Uptown residents who have questions about assistance during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Northern Manhattan Improvement Corporation has created a list of "Temporary COVID-19 Hotlines" for information about benefits, unemployment, housing and immigration during the pandemic.

The hotlines are available in the mornings during certain days of the week, but their hours may expand in the future based on demand.

Benefits — applying for, renewing or making changes to public benefits.

Unemployment — help applying for unemployment benefits.

Housing — advice on housing issues or those experiencing landlord harassment.
