Dyckman Farmhouse Museum Set To Reopen: What To Know

The popular Inwood museum is reopening to the public after an extended closure due to the coronavirus pandemic.

INWOOD, NY — The Dyckman Farmhouse Museum is reopening in Inwood after a closure that has lasted six months due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The museum announced it will reopen on Oct. 20 with a new ticket system and set of hours.

Dyckman Farmhouse Museum is located on 4881 Broadway at West 204th Street. It is the oldest remaining farmhouse in Manhattan and opened as a museum in 1916. The Dutch Colonial style farmhouse that houses the museum was built in 1784, and it is a member of The Historic House Trust of New York City.

Here's what you should know about how the museum is reopening.

Tickets: Reservations are required if you want to visit the museum, and they must be purchased in advance on the museum's website. The timed-tickets will last for 40 minutes and each slot is available to a household of up to five people.

Hours: The museum will be open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays starting on Oct. 20. The 40-minute reservations will be available at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., and 1 p.m.

Protocol: All visitors must wear a mask, fill out a contract tracing form, and answer a symptom questionnaire.
