WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A Washington Heights shoe store owned by Fat Joe is hosting a fashion pop up with rapper Dave East, who will be representing a French wine brand that's making its clothing available to the public for the first time.

French winery Luc Belaire will sell branded varsity jackets, knit beanies, sweatshirts, logo tees, weatherproof pullovers and a limited edition hat with New Era at the Up NYC store on the corner of Broadway and 158th Street during its one-day pop up on Saturday, Oct. 19.

Dave East will make a special guest appearance during the pop up. The Harlem rapper is a Luc Belaire brand ambassador.

"Belaire gear is a badge of honor and it's hard to come by," Dave East said in a statement. "If you catch somebody wearing Belaire, ask what’s up. Guaranteed they're making moves."

Customers will get a photo with Dave East and have the option to have their purchases signed by the rapper, according to a press release. The pop up will begin at 5 p.m. and is expected to run until 8 p.m. on Saturday.

UP NYC was opened by Fat Joe and former business partner Scott Spina in 2016. The store specializes in high-end sneakers from popular brands such as Nike, Jordan, Roc Nation and New Era, according to its website.

Spina was forced out of the business shortly after it opened. The New Jersey resident was sentenced to 35 months in federal prison for stealing customers' credit card information, failing to deliver goods and falsely claiming that purchases he made were fraudulent, the U.S. Attorney for New Jersey announced in June.
