Gay Sports Bar Plans Washington Heights Location

Boxers NYC negotiated a 15-year lease for a new bar on Broadway near West 159th Street.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A gay sports bar with three other New York City locations is taking its business to Washington Heights.

Boxers NYC will open a new location on the corner of Broadway and West 159th Street, executives from the commercial real estate company Lee & Associates NYC said in a press release. Lee & Associates NYC successfully negotiated the 15-year lease for Boxers NYC, according to the press release.

"Working with Boxers NYC has been a rewarding and enlightening experience," Richard Kave, Executive Managing Director at Lee & Associates NYC. "The owners, Bob Fluet and Rob Hynds, are true professionals who understand the needs of their clientele and pay attention to the smallest of details."

The new bar will be located in a 2,400-square-foot space with basement access, according to a press release. The bar's other New York City locations feature pool tables, outdoor terraces, brick oven pizza, beer on tap and flat screen televisions. Boxers NYC is often a meet-up spot for gay sports leagues, according to a press release.

Boxers NYC hopes to open in Washington Heights in the fall of 2018, according to a press release.
