Here Are The Proposed Citi Bike Stations For Inwood: DOT
The Department of Transportation recently presented its draft plan for Citi Bike expansion into Inwood at a community board meeting.

INWOOD, NY — The Department of Transportation (DOT) met with Upper Manhattan's Community Board 12 on Monday night to discuss Citi Bike's expansion into Inwood.
Representatives from the DOT presented to Community Board 12's Traffic and Transportation Committee about where they thought bike share station locations should be placed between 184th and 220th Streets.
Here are the proposed station locations:

The reactions to the proposed stations were mixed across Upper Manhattan community Facebook pages.
"At least they are proposing sidewalk locations, I would have liked to see more along Broadway, 204, or 207 St," one commenter wrote.

The loss of parking spaces is always one of the biggest critiques of adding in new Citi Bike stations, but many of the proposed stations are on the sidewalk, not in the streets.
The meeting was part of Citi Bike's ongoing expansion into Northern Manhattan.
In August, Citi Bike unveiled five new stations between West 179th and 183rd Streets in The Heights. Additionally, the bike-sharing company opened 12 new stations during the same period between West 151st and 173rd Streets.
The uptown location openings came on the heels of a 2019 study showing that Citi Bike's service area serves a largely white, affluent population while shutting out poor people of color.
The DOT and Citi Bike organization will now listen to community feedback and adjust the draft plan of Inwood stations as needed.
