Washington Heights Hotel Is Changing Its Name To Hotel Henny

A hotel employee confirmed to Patch that Hotel Cliff on 181st Street in the Heights is becoming Hotel Henny.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Hennything is possible for a Washington Heights hotel going through a rebranding.

Hotel Cliff at 505 West 181st Street is changing its name to Hotel Henny, an employee at the hotel confirmed to Patch. In the past few days, community members have noticed a Hotel Henny sign outside the Upper Manhattan business.

Henny is a shortened name for Hennessy, which is an incredibly popular brand of cognac.

"Does that mean you get a complimentary bottle of Henny?" one person asked on Facebook.

It is not clear when Hotel Cliff will officially take on its new name, however, if you google Hotel Henny — the 505 West 181st Street address does come up with the phone number for the hotel.

The hotel opened in 2014 after the building served as home to various small businesses over the years.

Patch was not able to find a website for the Washington Heights hotel, but according to third-party booking services, the hotel has a gym, sauna, and indoor heated swimming pool. The rooms also come with complimentary internet and cable TV.
