How Vaccinated Is Washington Heights? Here's The Latest Data

As more residents get vaccinated, the number of coronavirus cases in Washington Heights continues to decrease.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — The seven-day average of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in New York City continues an upward trend. As of Thursday, more than 8.1 million shots in arms have been given — that includes both first and second doses.

More than half of NYC residents, or 50.2 percent, have received at least one vaccine. About 42 percent are fully vaccinated.

According to the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, the average rate for residents fully vaccinated in the area's 10034, 10040, 10033 and 10032 area ZIP codes is about 41 percent — slightly less than NYC's combined rate but not too far behind.

The average rate for residents partially vaccinated in all of Washington Heights is around 48 percent — about two percent less than NYC's overall rate.
