Permanent COVID Vaccine Site Coming To Yeshiva Uni In The Heights
Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Monday that a new COVID-19 vaccine site will open at Yeshiva University this week.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A new permanent COVID-19 site will open within Yeshiva University in Washington Heights sometime this week, announced Mayor Bill de Blasio on Monday morning.
The Yeshiva University campus is located at 500 West 185th Street and will offer a much appreciated permanent vaccine site alternative in the neighborhood to the Fort Washington Armory.
De Blasio said Monday that the Yeshiva site will open sometime this week, but did not specify the exact day or when people would be able to schedule appointments.

The Washington Heights site was one of five permanent sites across New York City the mayor announced will be opening this week.
"We're continuing to expand all over the city, so you're going to see a number of sites up this week, new sites, we're finding this approach works," de Blasio said Monday.

The mayor's reference to "this approach" means the city's current strategy of opening vaccine sites in schools, YMCAs, libraries, affordable housing complexes, and other public spaces that have the right type of infrastructure to host a vaccine site.
You can check for when the Yeshiva University site opens by visiting the NYC COVID-19 Vaccine Finder and writing in its 10033 ZIP code into the search bar. When doses are available at Yeshiva, the option to schedule an appointment will appear after you search the ZIP code.
In the meantime, you can use the finder to help schedule an appointment at the Fort Washington Armory and pharmacies throughout Upper Manhattan.
Patch will update this story when vaccines become available at the Yeshiva University site.
