Adorable Photos: Washington Heights Cops Play With Local Kids at Fall Harvest Festival
Officers from the 34th Precinct joined students of PS M048 in Washington Heights for the school's fall festival.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Officers from the 34th Precinct — which spans Washington Heights and Inwood — joined students from PS M048 Wednesday for the school's annual Fall Harvest Festival. The school is named in honor of fallen officer Michael J. Buczek, a 34th Precinct officer who was killed in the line of duty in 1988.
The 34th Precinct thanked the school for inviting them and shared pictures from the event in a post to its Facebook page:
We would like to thank the entire staff at Public School M048 for inviting us to their Fall Harvest Festival. The photographs speak for themselves, a great time was had by all, especially by our newly assigned officers who are currently in training. Our seasoned youth officers showed them how to connect with our youths and more importantly, showed them how to gain their trust. A special thanks to Ms. Walsh, Mr. Case, Ms. Marzola & Ms. Velazquez for including us and allowing us to participate.#PoliceOfficerMichaelBuczekSchool#FallHarvest
