These Restaurants Are Still Open In Washington Heights, Inwood

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Uptown residents wondering where to order food while they hunker down at home during the coronavirus pandemic have a long list of local eateries to choose from, according to a list compiled by the neighborhood's Chamber of Commerce.

The Washington Heights and Inwood Chamber of Commerce is keeping track of which restaurants are still open for takeout and delivery during a state-mandated ban on dine-in customers and stay-at-home order in New York.

Whether it be American, Mexican, Asian, Latin American food or other offerings from delis, cafes, pizzas, pubs or bars, there are at least 50 restaurants to choose from to order in.

The list will be updated as the chamber becomes aware of any changes, according to its website, but the organization still suggested checking with the restaurants before ordering to make sure their kitchen is still open.

Many restaurants in both the Uptown neighborhoods and across the city either could not afford or have chosen not to stay open for takeout during the mandated closure.

Business owners who would like to be added to the list or need to let the chamber know about changes should contact them with updates.
